Hi, I'm Brian Mills, a member of the Lancia Motor Club committee and I would like to inform you of this event.
This full day event has been run for many years and offers exceptional value. We charge LMC and invited club members such as yourselves just £174 (Goodwood charge the public - £315).
The day is not just for track cars or hot hatches and sessions allow just 5 cars on the track so classics are very safe.
We are inviting just Alfa Romeo and Fiat clubs so the day will be really Italian in style. All you need is a car that can pass the 105 db soundcheck and a helmet (no special helmet requirements).

I might be interested? what does 105db sound like? What club do I have to be in to pay £174?

105db is pretty noisy - most roadcars will pass a 98db test, so you are with the higher limit you are getting close to full race car noise (db is not a linear scale)

I think Brian is alluding to the fact that as a 'member' of AO, you'll be fine. If you like I can query this with him as I'm an LMC member too.

ps This is a good day out as well - normally this is one of the first 'social' gatherings of the LMC (we normally have this in March when it's a bit colder), so there will be plenty (and I'm talking 30 or 40 more at least) other cars that just go down to spectate

Not necessary to be a member of any club - you can join the Lancia Motor Club for the day for just £12 which will include you under the clubs third party insurance policy. Please contact me for further details.

Can Alfasuds join the Lancia Posse? is that allowed?

Hi Rat Trap,

Yes we would love to see an Alfasud there. You will not be the only Alfa (many of the Lancia Club members run Alfas also).

Re the 105db noise level - as Duncan says the scale is not linear. A car emiting 105 db makes twice as much noise as one emitting 95 db. At 105 db you will not be driving the car on the road without earplugs. We have had several racers brought on trailers that pass the 105 db without a problem.
