Calendar: Event Calendar

Is there a meet near you?

It's that time again

Autoitalia Day at Brooklands is one of the best days out of the year.

A multitude of Italian Cars and Exotica will descend on Brooklands Museum including Alfa, Fiat, Ferrari, Lancia, Lamborghini, Maserati for the day, and during the day there will be runs up the famous test hill. We hope to have an area set up for us in out usual spot on the Banking. Entry also grants access to the exhibits at the museum as well.

Convoys will be set up round the M25 to get you there with a central meeting point just outside so we can go in en-masse.

It starts from 8.30am onwards and we would advise getting there early.

See you all there

Brooklands Musuem Directions

***************** Update *********************

We have been advised that we can go in as one large group via a dedicated entrance rather than following the rest of the marques in

We have a booked time slot for the group entry into Brooklands of between 9.15 and 9.30am

This should be a great day! Love Brooklands - lots of history there and things to see. Went to the Auto Italia day at Gaydon last September which was a great day out too. Any excuse to get lots of Italian cars together! Not sure if I can mention Mercedes-Benz on Alfaowner but since that is right next door to Brooklands too this will make for a very good day out for anyone into their cars. Definitely up for it but will have to see if the diary allows....

Yep the turnout was massive last year, we must have had at least 80 cars in our area, overall there must have been over 800 cars and the Ferrari's are normally there in force.

If everything goes to plan...
...my V6 should have the new engine and a few slight mods on the front bumper/splitter done by then

I was there last year long long before I got my Alfa (or joined here). I have some pics that I will post up soon to wet everyone's appetite for this year! Bit disappointed that it is the same day as the gumball though.

Alfa GTV - Alfa Arna Ti

Drunk Will be coming with Alfasud

I am meeting up with a couple of friends.

I have 1.3Ti Alfasud from Hayling Island
Steve has a 3.0 GTV6 in Portsmouth
Matt has Alfasud in Bognor Regis.

Alas Petiepie's Alfasud Sprint is still getting restored on a skint budget - so he's co-piloting / driving my sud

We intend to meet at the first McDonalds/BP Petrol station on A3 near Peterfield at about 7-7.30am for a bite to eat. If anyone wants to tag along your welcome.

I am sorting a respray with a friend for the first or second week in April to complete my restoration and she will be looking sick! can't wait to drive her. I have not driven it in 2 years, when I took her off road for restoration.

Yeeeeahhhhhh Kevin... To the Rat Mobile....

I'll be aranging a run upto to the meet area for this, avoiding the A3, liley to start at about the same time as you guys. On our run to Epsom recently we went on this ROUTE. We will be doing something very similar. You are most welcome to join us. Also I note where you live. Are you aware of the South Central Region? (As typing looking for this link, I see you have as you've posted a message in this lounge )
Some of our regulars own 75, 90 and some more modern models. We have regular social evening meets, the last few at the 7 Bells Stars near Petersfield.

Your route starts at the a272, where we are starting doesn't it? We would love to come with you guys. I will speak to the others I'm meeting with. I see from your other posts you are near or frequent Fareham?

We can join your convoy at a272?

We normally start from the services with the A3/A272. We have a run down to Bridport starting from Petersfield Sunday morning if interested.

And yes, more than welcome.

Yes, I'd like to know whether we have to pre-book too - I have enough trouble convincing AI/marshalls to let me in as it is!

Perhaps I shouldn't bother - I'm getting the distinct impression the Green Machine isn't welcome at anything other than miserable kit car events, where I have to look at endless lines of fake snakes and 7evens...

Hang on... just copied this from the Brooklands page...

"Pre-booked Club cars arriving together from local pre-arranged assembly points may access the Museum site via Mercedes-Benz World. All cars taking advantage of this facility must be in possession of tickets in advance - there will be no payment facility for vehicles entering the Museum site via Mercedes-Benz World. For pre-booking information and to reserve Club display areas please contact Phil Ward at phil.ward @chpltd.com."

So it looks like only large convoys arriving at the MB entrance (not the usual way in) have to be in posession of pre-booked tickets. Phew!

I read somewhere that they want people to prebook this year.

Definitely can't make it now as I will instead be driving a canal boat from Chirk to Llangollen with some friends and no doubt numerous beverages. Oh well, not all bad

So based on Laurens note can a rep (or 2) contact them/work out if we've got to buy tickets in advance cos that's the way we'll go in
