Calling all Alfaowners

This is your chance to take part in a unique opportunity to start off the centenary year

On the 7th February 2010 we will be helping to make history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous convoy of Alfa's.

Allams Alfa Romeo in conjunction with the alfaowner.com club are planning on holding a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest convoy of Alfa Romeo's starting out from Allams in Epsom.

We need over 200 cars to be involved - if you are free on Sunday 7th Feb and are able to travel down to Allams of Epsom in Surrey, we will be attempting to break the record at approx 1pm but will need to position you and ensure all paperwork is validated, please RSVP on here to show your interest and then please PM Allams Alfa with the following info for validation purposes and and Allams will will keep you updated.

Allams showroom will be open from 9am on the day for registration purposes,

You will be directed to park at the assembly point (TBA) by Allams and AO staff, then you should go into the showroom and register.

There will also be a catering Van onsite for food and tea and coffee

For those travelling from afar and requiring accomodation, a lot of members are booking this hotel for saturday 6th February here

Rooms are currently available for £49 if you pay in advance and £59 if you pay on check out, the hotel has 120 rooms but we expect this to fill up quite quickly so book early to avoid disappointment.

I meant more the logisitcs of actually getting 200 cars in a line with no 'interruptions' - I assume if another marque were to 'slip in', the convoy could be negated?

We need to get Simon (156GTASW) along. I will never foget him convincing the police to stop the traffic on the A20 by Brands Hatch so a dozen or so GTA's could get into Brands Hatch together
