Goodwood Breakfast Club - Italian Day Sunday 4th Oct

Just been told at the Essex meet that there is an Italian Breakfast Club on Sunday 4th Oct.

Might go if it's dry

if anyone else is interested could be worth making a proper event post of this?

Alfas @ Silverstone 145s, 156's, GTV's, Sud Sprint, loads of 33s and some 147's. There is even an invitation class for Classic Alfas and a member of the forum is out racing

Qualifying is at 11.10
Race is at 3.30
Its the last race of the season so it promises to be a great race

yeah Breakfast Clubs start early ... 8am gates open, but they only last till midday

I did my first one this year 'Soft Top Sunday', got there for about 8.30 and only just got into the circuit rather than being stuck in a car park

This one is officially ...

04/10/2009 'Maserati Magnifica - a Tribute to the Trident and other Italian Icons' Attracting: For all Maseratis and any other Italian collector's vehicles, from a Lambretta to a Lamborghini, plus Continental aircraft.

so theoretically they should let anything Italian in, however judging how the one I went to went they started to get selective at one point to make sure they had different cars.

unfortunately sunday at the moment isn't sounding good for the weather !

If (and thats a big if), we planned to get there for 8am, what time would we need to meet at thurrock services or something like that?

I presume the comments are about times for Goodwood, rather than KT's hijack of the thread with Silverstone chat ?

Well google/tomtom gives approx 2 hours down to Goodwood from Lakeside going via the M23

I was going to leave a little earlier than that to avoid the toll on the bridge and also it could will be a little manic down at goodwood

Weather is Sunny Intervals and 15C according to the Met at the mo

I'll be going along to this with the GTA. Should I be able to park up directly at the circit then? I've only ever been to FOS before, not sure what to expect at this event.

Well that's what both tomtom and google said 1hr 50 to get from Thurrock services to Goodwood.

And I'm not a fast driver anyway .... Especially if I'm topless.

Cal - I've no idea what will and won't be let into the circuit. One of my earlier posts says the title event which says Masers and other collectable Italian cars/bikes so who knows what they will or won't let in.

Well at the moment I'm planning to go. If anyone wants to join me I'll be leaving Thurrock (lakeside) services at 5:45 and going whatever route my Tomtom sends me.

I'll confirm 100% tomorrow early evening that I'm defo going.
