Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island
Well I tried the route out with CommanderFish and Lord K yesterday, We didn't go onto the island but came back on the A3, and it is a great route just ended up grinning most of the way down, loads of twisties and quite flat so we could push on
Have found a suitable stopping point and goodwood as well so I'm just putting a map and directions together. I will also have an itinery file tom tom, garmin, navman etc.

Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island
Hi Jon,
Any chance you could post/email the route, I'm not sure I can make the 22nd but would be interested in driving it another time.
Cheers!

Yep, can do once i've finalised it, just putting the finishing touches to it, do you have sat-nav and if so what make and does it support itineries?

There's no room for luxuries like satnav in Green Machine (even the stereo is connected to your right foot), so a map, or just a list of roads would help for me. Gotta keep things authentic 1970's you know
I'm looking forward to this!

Ah proper map reading .. mind you I'm useless at it as it involves multi tasking then , I'll put together something together on google maps and post it up, as there's quite a few turns

Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island
Thanks Jon - actually, I don't read maps while driving, I try to memorise waypoints (critical junctions etc.) in advance and see where I end up. Most of the time it works, although this sounds a little more challenging!
Hopefully my local knowledge will come into play around Hampshire/West Sussex!

Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island
Guys this is a FANTASTIC RUN, the best run I've been on actually, really was huge fun, do go if you can make it, lovely clear twisties and plenty of chances for redlining if you are so inclined... the Brera hit redline for the second time in its life!
