Hi John - probably both! Unlike the Classic London to Brighton I won't have a navigator with me, so turn-by-turn information may be of limited use (this isn't a straightforward motorway blast after all) and I don't want to hold anyone up if I lose sight of the group.

Its times like this when I wish I'd got an intercom/radio installed, for that full Red Arrows vibe - "left, left, left" etc.

I reckon I could modify one of those short-range radios to do the job (the hiking/contractor jobbies), but not by the weekend. Plus, you need someone on the other end of the line that knows where they are going

By the way, does this route go over three sets of speed bumps (the first two with bus-lane "troughs") coming off Epsom Downs? The speed limit posted is 40 mph and we hit them rather hard on the L2B. Took all the paint off my nosecone and buckled the aluminium supports, but at least I finished the course. An AC Cobra lost its sump and had to retire...

Still hoping to be there!

Lauren

Unfortunately I think it does, but I have an alternative route that we could use which doesn't use that road, I sent both routes out for the guys with sat-navs just in case, plus there's speed humps on box hill as well but the alternative route doesn't go over box hill - was debating whether to use this one as I wanted to avoid speed humps,

I'll post up the other route in a bit

Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island

Route updated -

Those with sat-navs this is the surrey_dash_2_v2 file that you have received or will be receiving.

I'll be printing off a load of these to bring with me.

Re: The Surrey Dash II - Epsom to Hayling Island

Cunn21 What Tom Tom version have you got? Is it a One Third Edition or V3 by any chance?

If so I have the same one and it does have the software to support itineraries, but Tom Tom decided in their wisdom to take it off the menu god knows why though

There is a way of getting the itinerary menu back. Do you want me to send you the details of how to do it?

This describes how to do it

HowTo: Add Itinerary Planning to TomTom ONE 3rd Edition
