Yep, I should be there - although I am missing two other events on the same day! I haven't looked at the map recently, but I guess its another slog up the M1 - so I'll probably risk Hindhead (Sunday) and go up via A3, M25 (clockwise) and M1...

Last years event resulted in the Green Machine spinning out after covering only 10 miles. Hoping to make it all the way to Stanford this year!

wasn't me guv - there's only one Nova T33 and she was at home all weekend (marking up chassis reference points on the drive, plus some work on the - somewhat inadequate in the current heatwave - cabin ventilation system )

You'll occasionally see a Nova with an Alfasud engine, but they are almost exclusively mated to a VW transaxle and still utilise the (old) Beetle chassis... looks great from the outside, but usually a pig to drive...

Probably, I was thinking we could meet at Newport Pagnell services on the M1, and then go up in convoy.

I guess there would be clockwise and anti-clockwise M25 convoys each heading there to meet up and drive together, yes?
