Power runs!
Since I am now unable to make the Autolusso open day, I feel it only fair that I try and organise something for the region.
A friend of mine works at SSC in Fareham, and they have just had a rolling road installed. I would like to arrange a day where we can all attend, and do a power run each, to see what figures our cars are putting out. This will be open to all on AO who want to head to this area.
I need to 100% confirm a date, but I was thinking the second Saturday in November. I believe it would cost £25 per car (tbc) and I will try and get a BBQ chucked in....
Let's see how much interest we get.

Well, I'd quite like to know how comically down on power my JTS is (165hp my arse), and I'm free then.

Sounds like a good idea, but personally not worried with the 1.6 or 1.8 engine!

Interested, but sadly it's now the hockey season so weekends are spent transporting my son around the country to hockey matches. So no go for me I am afraid.
Cheers,
Nigel

You might find it difficult getting a reading if you have the Q2 installed. Let them know you have a torsen type LSD installed.
At a previous AOEM meet we visited a rolling road that was unable to get a reading from my GTA and gtlewi's GT.
The graphs were all wavy, and you could see the front of the cars bouncing from side to side (even tho they were tightly strapped down).
Anyway, I hope you do manage to get a successful reading.

No worries Nigel, I'm gonna give up on this anyway, there is a serious lack of interest.

Simon,
Where is SSC? I would be interested in having a mooch around and maybe having a power run on my own to get a before and after reading (re-map time soon)!

Maybe I'll try again around then
Southways Automotive Ltd, Unit C Plot 5, Fort Fareham Ind Est, Fareham, Hampshire. PO14 1AH
The rolling road is being installed at the moment, but if you go there, try and see Rich, say you know me.

The amount of the interior you have taken out of your car, it should have the best power to weight ratio!
Would this day be open to non-Alfa owners as well?
