Autolusso Poole
Thought I'd let you guys know how I'm getting on with these guys.
First impressions are excellent. I was gonna send it to Mike but he didn't want the job, so I contacted Ned from Autolusso and he pointed me in their direction. Lawrence the owner worked for him for 7 years. My car has an alternator failure and Lawrence came out on Saturday with his truck, and loaded the car onto it, whilst being very careful not to hit the front bumper. He then contacted me to let me know he arrived back at the workshop with it all in one piece.
At half 9 I had a call this morning to say they have started work, and that they have noticed a few minor issues such as split cv boot and drive belt that is on its last legs.
So my impression so far is very very good!

Hmm can't blame Mike for not wanting to do it, that is such a pig of a job!

Well I collected my car today, and I must say that I am more than impressed. Lawrence clearly lives for Alfa's and nothing is too much.
Not only did I have the alternator changed, but also he changed the cam cover gaskets, spark plug gaskets, cv boot and drive belt for a reasonable price, he then also went out his way and fixed several little niggles with the car such as a broken drivers door handle, changed the front badge, reset airbag light, fitted a clip to the key and painted the wheel nuts! All little jobs that I hadn't got round too yet.
He then checked over the car and advised me of a few issues that need looking at, including the fact that the timing has not been set correctly on the previous cambelt change I had done.....
All in all, utterly fantastic service. Seriously , get your cars to this guy, he knows his stuff!

Just been to see Lawrence, got my air con regassed but really just spent half the day chatting - very impressed and good prices too. Unfortunately not enough wrong with my car (!) to have any niggles fixed but will definitely be going there again. Much as S10 GTA said really - lives for Alfas!

Good to see him getting good feedback. He's worked hard to get this business started and deserves to have it go well

Mine's in there now - cylinder 1 misfire, hopefully just a coil pack. Glad I went and made friends a few weeks back!

I've spoken to Lawrence a few times regarding my purchase of a 156 GTA.
He has been really very helpful with things to look out for and always has time to chat. A very nice fella and I look forward to using his services in the future!

May have to go and check this guy out.
But with Mike literally only 5 mins away it seems madness really going to Poole!
My cambelt change is due in December, may try the new AL or take it back to Mike. Certainly nothing too wrong with the timing as last done by Mike it pulled above factory bhp recently so well chuffed.

Whilst pleasing to hear all the good reports from these folk, it doesn't quite make up for them not replying to my email of last week about getting my gearbox + clutch done
might have to book it in at red's if i dont get a reply soon.....

Meant to add that after fixing my injector mess, they did a cracking service on my JTS - rad, aux belt, pollen filters (old ones below!), brake fluid and a bunch of other stuff for a very good price, and it may be my imagination or the placebo effect, but it just feels much tighter and composed. Going back at the weekend for some undersealing. Really recommend them, always a pleasure to deal with.
