GTV V6 Q2

Word of warning for anyone in the Poole area

A quick warning for any GTV (or other low slung Alfa) owners.

Made the mistake of trying to get across one of those one-way spiked speed humps (the right way!) the other day in the car park where the Range/Wickes etc is near Wallisdown.

Despite crawling over at a low speed it seems the spikes popped back up as the car came down after the front wheels were over, hitting the bottom of the car. There was an almighty scrape and I've noticed I now have a chunk of paint missing as well as a meaty scratch along the bottom of my drivers side skirt.

I don't think my grounding has done any serious damage (no oil leaks etc) but I've now got to get my skirt repaired because the poxy thing wouldn't let a low riding car over.

So if anyone happens to be there and needs to get from the Range end to the Wickes end I strongly suggest taking the long way round.

It happens to my mito over the spiked bump at the entrance to that pub in wolvercote (can't remember what it's called, but it's by a river), seems like a horrible scrape under the car, but no visual damage..

Good point young gbr.

I have to take speed humps slowly, or my front end scraps as I cross them.

well my cars not factory fresh but if factory cars a hitting bumps and coursing damage it dosent matter if its a Ferrari or a land rover its still wrong, lowering is your choice. and if it had been me i would be taking photos and getting some money off these people. if they want customers why are they repelling some cars. i have to go around the back of sainsburys to avoid the bumps. not that im being big headed but i know that 50mph in a car park is not going to work.

on another note i got a dvla letter the other day and crapped myself but it was a nice one saying that im not the owner of the Bavarian money waster
