Southampton & Portsmouth Area Meet
Hi there,
There is not a 'South Central' section but persume we are covered under South East.
Many of the events seem to be centred around London & Essex.
I was wondering on suggestions for a good meeting venue in the Southampton/Portsmouth (Southern Hampshire) area and also how many would be interested?
I live just north of Fareham and would be great to have a mini meet somewhere with as many Alfas & Owners attending as possible.
Thanks
James

I live in Fareham, was trying to sort something Bournemouth way a while back, but house duties and work got in the way. But, yes on a meet. In fact, as you are local, ever want a beer let me know.

If you are around this weekend there's a meet at beaulieu from 1pm on Sunday with members of both south west and south east attending about 15 of us so far.

I'm up for a 'South Central Meet'.
Mid-week, evenings (especially now Summer is here) are best for me; weekends sometimes too 'domestically' sensitive' if you know what I mean, but let me know what you have in mind and I'll see what I'm up to.

We could meet at Mike's place
Or a cheeky little boozer in/nr the New Forest? Something coastal out towards Bournemouth could be nice or perhaps a bit more in-land nearer Winchester... Or Cowes on the IoW

Could be a good starting point, also a pub right outside..... Good end point of an evening....
Great roads to that location.....
Easy to get too......

A spin round the Isle of Wight is always a good idea, the Military road has no speed cameras and some good corners, dips and bends , not for one minute am I suggesting that any of us would ever break any limits. Winter is best though, not many other cars about. I'd be up for some of that.

Isle of Wight like the sound of that - How much is the ferry? Can we get a bulk discount?

Lol would be nice - I think for starters it may be good to keep the meetings more general and low cost ie. pubs/restaurants etc. Just until we establish a larger group - then we could arrange specific 'Southern Days Out' where the Isle of Wight idea etc. would come in very nicely

The ferrys are a rip-off. I'm leaving the Island next month and I can't wait to stop funding their scam.
That said Milli-road is great fun, however its the wrong time of year for it. Too many tourists intent on ploding along at 30/40 in 60 zones.
