help please alfa 147 selespeed problem?????

Hi my names kyle I have a 2001 Alfa 147 2.0 T.S selespeed!!
Ok well my problem is that its stuck in neutral and doesn't want to select gears even if ignition is just on all the "noises" are there eg: the pump kicking in the gear selection but nothing happens??

Car has been standing for about six months with motor and gearbox out as motor went bought a new one installed everything starts 100% but engine light stays on so it gives me a motor control failure, but no selespeed system failure unless I keep the shift stick in for about 20seconds or so!!!

Please help any info or Manuel reset or where I can have it calibrated as I did replace one sensor on the gearbox right at the back where it says selespeed!!!

Hi and welcome kyle.
I'm in Klerksdorp and there really isn't someone here that can do it. Easy thing to save yourself allot of money in the future is buy the ecu cable and calibrate it yourself with the fiatecuscan software. Read this.

Just this cable. The free software is included in the item description but a payable version is available with extra options .

No unfortunately not. I have an older alfa. Maybe MSV on forum in potch can help you. He also has a 147. Don't know if he has a cable. Give him a private message(click on his name)

Kyle, I see BenzinaBrera said he can help you. Seems like that's going to be your best bet.

Speenvark is also here in Potch. Perhaps he can help you and his fuel costs to you will be substantially less.

Kyle if you haven't come right with the cable yet,ask benzina if you can borrow his,will have to make arrangements to meet with benzina and what i can do is drop off the cable for you as i will be in potch and klerksdorp next week friday the 29/06/2012.

But yeah buying one for yourself will most def be an investment escpecially if you plan on keeping the car.

Now just to enjoy the selespeed. If I may ask was it the Actuator adjustment that needed to be done?

Reason why it wasn't selecting was someone changed 2 of the selinoid wires the EV3 and EV4 once that was changed back it selected gears so we calibrated and now she's 100 again
