My GTA in local newspaper

Wow, I never thought that the Swart Mamba would be showcased in the Autodealer paper!

I had an invitation by motoring journalist Matthys Ferreira, a man with a soft spot for sporting cars and Mercedes, to have what they call a 'write up' done.
He has seen the car a few times in the city and I agreed to borrow the car to him for 3 days.

Matthys is actually a professional photographer by trade, but has for the last few years headed the motoring edition.

Anyway, here is a link to the article in the paper that came out yesterday. The pic is unfortunately not complete, as the scanner could not accommodate the size. They put a two thirds print in the newspaper!
Wow! I really felt privileged and was glad that I grabbed the opportunity.
I even had the local sales department of the AR dealer email me to convey their delight (no doubt as this might stir the ashes in the sales of new AR's), and hopefully up their service delivery in the workshop.

The text was a bit too light against the backround, so I scanned it on max resolution, resulting in a 13MB sized file. I actually have a copy of the article on word in high resolution, but thought it best to scan the actual paper article. Too bad the printed pics are nowhere close to Matthys's high res pics he took. I hope the link works fine for you to zoom and read it

Had a stranger call me today. He got word from a guy at Supa Quick who knows me, that I am an alfisti.
Turns out he wanted to know if I want to buy his Sud 1.5 for R12000.
What a crazy man for that price.

Ysman, congrats on the write up !...... good that there are still journos out there that can still have an open mind and are not in the " ïf its not a BMW, AUdi ,VW or Toyota it must be rubbish" bandwagon

WHat condition is the Sud, try to get some pics...... after the track day, plenty people will be looking for cheapies to make race cars...... and Suds, as you know, are perfect for that !

I'll try and see if I can go look at the car, and take pics.
From what I could gather, it belonged to an old lady, and this guy bought it (dirt cheap) I suspect, and is looking to make 6-7000 bucks to an idiot....

He won't get that price. I have seen Sud's with original owner with less than 100k km on clock for that price.
