Is this my new car?
Hi guys,
Been visiting this workshop where a 2.0l GT Junior is being restored.. Most if it will be original with a small twist here and there to give the car some character..
I have expressed an interest in the car and have visited it a number of times to see how it is progressing.
Here is a pic:

Jip its silver! Looks awesome.. The Alfa badge on the grill is a custom made one! Will post pics of that when I go visit again.
And this is the beauty standing next to "my" GT Junior

I thought I was the one buying up all of these cars. Can't go wrong at ZA prices on them, I want to start stacking them in the corner of a shop until our current projects are completed.

If it is silver with oxblood interior, omg! Where is this, Perreby? Are those wheels the same as the FMM GTV Redirect Notice

Sounds like this is your car already, Perreby! Someone seems to be on a serious collection spree . Silver is awesome with a black interior as well.

But I want decals on the car.. Classics just looks so much cooler with decals. Look at Nic Roets' car.. Looks fantastic with the decals. Even bumble looked better with decals.
Its just which colour decals will look best on a silver GT Junior..
I have two colours in mind.

Perreby,
I always like either complete contrast (bumblee), or just one shade off of the same color. So if your silver is light, go with just a shade darker on the spectrum. For a dark silver, go will just slightly lighter. Will give them a ghost effect.
As for the Vegas, there are worse places to start...and worse issues than having a set of rims for race tread.

Different strokes for different blokes. I don't like the momo vega mags and I like decals.
So why should I have mags on my car that I don't like and not have decals on a car when I like it? I shall do with this car whatever I want thank you very much....
Scotty its light silver the car, so was thinking charcoal type coloured decals...

Haha loving this thread guys - I'm also on a buying spree - between my mate and I doing resto projects we've bought 5 gt juniors / sprint GTV's in the last year!
They are unbelievably cheap for not only a beautiful looking classic but a real performer too.

Charcoal would be awesome. Your car, YOUR RIGHT TO BUILD AS YOU SEE FIT.
I venture to say GT's will double in price in ZA in the next year (or have they already???), and still be a bargain compared to Europe/US!

Vegas I do not like except on cars with bold colours. I'm thinking of getting small decals in the usual front fender spots as well. When are we seeing the car unwrapped, Perreby?

I have a couple AutoDelta Triangles stickers (not the thick emblems) if anyone wants them... not my style, but I support anyone who wants them.

People seem a bit tense today....? You may obviously and most certainly do whatever you want to with your car !!
But it will not be classified as a classic anymore, that's all I meant, it'll be custom, which most often looks cooler and more unique than classic anyway.
Take it easy, monday's gone

Why not take a full size pic of the GT and have the graphically talented members photoshop some options for you?

Okay I'm going to check on the car tomorrow.. And going to check what else is in the shop. There is a nice white 1750 GT Junior (the golden clover leaf one). And a 1600 version. White too.
And then that spider. OMG that car is stunning. Has the Tipo 33 look with the perspex over the headlights.
El, the car is VERY far from done.. No engine, no interior, early stages still..
Still want the decals.. Thinking charcoal or light blue (kinda what nicus was thinking). That was my second choice.. Girlfriend doesn't know about this car yet...
