Dawie's 156 GTA FS?

I tried calling, not to buy the car(i know the shock and horror) but to get pics and more info.

Anyone know anything about this car?

Are you guys surte it's Dawie De Villiers? The number I have for him is different to the one in the ads. Perhaps he bought a sim to use for the sale of those cars and discarded it afterwards to prevent unwanted calls

If that is the same GTA that was standing at Glenwood Motors a few weeks ago without an engine in it, then let's just say I wouldn't buy it, eg the car's sideskirts are mounted with self tapping screws and other tasteful mods.

Guili why do you want pics and info if you don't wanttobuy the car . Dawie is a busy man with business to run . Hence the reason I never sent you any pics of my gta . We literally don't have time to facilitate Internet junkies.
Rather come down to race days etc and join in and get involved . Their are lots of alfas and chaps of all ages . Don't under estimate the old guys - they will drive circles around you and you gain the most knowledge from them . Don't mention the war ( I mean golf )
It's a good way to get socially involved .

Jarre why is it anything I say gets a kak response? You keep on throwing this "old guys" thing around, so being old, think for yourself why I would want the cars pics and info,I happen to know of 2 guys also looking for 156 GTA's...

And who the hell underestimated old guys? What exactly are you on about?
You are typical of many guys now with great cars that don't want to share them with interested people...if you don't want to send pics then keep them to yourself, that's mos what owning Alfa's is all about I've realised in the last couple of weeks...APARENTLY you have to meet some form of criteria to even see guys' car's pics now

I don't get it...I don't know if its his car, there were numerous ads on Junkmail about the same car, once for a De Villiers and the other times for a Dawie, so if you put two and two together you get what?.........

Drive circles around me...when did I say I'll drive circles around OLD GUYS, jasssas I'm getting duk and duk day by day for this crap. Krasch, I don't know you, please, for the last time, I've been to many of this so called fun events and races and what not, you get some OLD GUYS who are cool, many in the CPT club, but I've also met some kak OLD GUYS with KAK attitudes...If an Alfa lover ever asked me for pics of my cars, I'd be happy to send them along...I still have Rush's WHOLE FAMILIES' pics of all their Alfa's...its such a refreshing and good thing to look at their Alfa's and be inspired...

Maar nee, julle OU MANNE is mos beter en ons jong laaities met blerrie Golfs ken mos niks..great...note taken.

With Guili on this one.. If anyone on this forum wants anything from me I help them in a hartbeat.. And thats with me basically working 7 days a week.

I dont see how sending a few pictures to someone on this forum can ever be an issue? It was not just Guili that asked for pictures of your GTA with raised suspension Krasch, I asked too, because my GTA's under tray is getting its ass kicked because it is so low. As for this Dawie car, I phoned a couple of times to enquire about the car for a family member of mine. Doesnt even pick up the phone... If you place an ad with a number and you dont answer that number you never gonna sell the car...

And he never said anything about OLD guys on here? All I have ever seen him do is ask old guys questions, not giving them k@k or underestimating them?

But if Brad says its not what he would buy then I am not interested either.. Brad you dont want to sell yours? Ill get you a GTV6 3.0l

Is there something in the Gauteng Air or why do everybody seem to be snapping about *****.
All of us are busy but we still make time to assist others where we can.
But then no ones obligated to help others or supply picks if they do not want to, but just say no I do not want my cars picks floating around and that’s the end of it.
No reason to get agitated.
As for old people all of us respect them especially Dawie since he was the only person who really persisted with Alfas after they left SA and for that he deserves his place in the sun.

GTV V6 Turbo, Q2, Eibach, Koni, and lots more

Joburg air, I think Pretoria air seems fine

Seriously though, I gain a lot from Guili's questions and his enthusiasm (even though he's Alfaless at the moment) is a big reason why I tune in to this forum. I don't get why someone would advertise a car and not pick up their phone. I had the same experience when I wanted to buy new rims to replace the naff ones, but my mails and calls weren't answered. To me this kinda defeats the point of advertising unless you're only using the ad responses (missed calls) as a diagnostic tool to determine how many people would be interested in your car at that price.
