Anyone need a spare 166`

I'm selling my 166 2.0L, needing some jobs done. I was going to fix it but have just bought something else and dont have the time.

It needs two rear suspension bushes (the ones pressed into the hub), a front exhaust pipe flexi section and the cabin heater doesn't blow hot air, although aircon and all vents work ok.

On the plus side it's got a very good nero body, good engine, belts done, some service history, good leather seats (light grey), working ICS and code, very good tyres all round.

Might be good for a donor car but is a good enough car to fix also.
I've been using it for the last two years with no problems (apart from the current issues mentioned above).

Thinking about €350 if anyone is interested, please pm me for pics/details etc.

btw the car is driving well, even though the NCT failed the rear bushes.

It's 1999 with 110k miles.

I'll get some pics later.

I really need this gone and would hate to scrap it - ready to drive away for €300.........

M04 I was thinking of using it to get my 01 166 going (needs an engine) but after looking at what 166's are making on Donedeal there's no point, it would be a lot of work for nothing.

seriously though the 166 is the great unloved for some reason, and possibly the fastest depreciating car of all time! I agree with roars, it would be a sin to scrap, specially with those seats

It really is a nice car, as others have said it would be a sin to scrap and a bargain at that. I'd buy it yesterday but really don't have any where to keep. Worth easily double in parts.

I was delighted to take the 166 off mo4's hands......always wanted one and looks great parked up next to the 147. Great motor for a 12 year old car. Needs a few bits doing to it but hope to have it on the road very soon. Might be on here looking for advice/parts but really looking forward to getting it back to full health.

Took the one off my donor recently - don't remember it being difficult although in saying that I've stripped it right down to block and gearbox at this stage with gearbox to come out soon...
