On the way into douglas (old carrigaline road) pic below they have now put traffic lights on it , and guess what both sides are GREEN at the same time , just a heads up for you all I have no idea what bright spark thought this was a good idea , it will cause a serious accident at some stage so beware

I'm a bit of an annoying guy this week must be the weather , ! first the NCT . So I've decided that I am ring the roads dept tomorrow and getting the name of the guy that decided this. Then I'm going to politely tell him that If I have an accident at this junction I am suing HIM directly , see if that doesnt make him (her ?) sit up and take notice .. Let you know who he/she is so that we can all sue him/her

There has got to be glass and plastic debris there at this stage surely?

Interesting to hear how you get on...

Lights there? I normally drive that road once every day. You hardly need a stop sign, not much traffic on it. Not many will be stopping at a red light knowing you can see 300 yards down the road that there isnt another car coming.

The problem is that people coming from the Rochestown side have a green light as well as the people coming from carrigaline direction ... who pays the bill if both people have a green light and think they dont need to stop ? Only seen this in movies when the robbers want to create gridlock !

Nice.... It kinda sounds like they used the logic from a set of pedestrian crossing lights???

"era, sure, it's grand."
