Meant to add...
I've take over 800 photos, and reduced the album a lot, and it's a lot of work to edit regs, etc..
If you want me to remove your reg - please PM me.. And I'll remove, edit and replace no probs...

I was there from 10.30pm to 3.30pm.
I really enjoyed seeing the Mk2 Escorts throwing 'it sideways' on the bends. The fella in the white Escort did a few doughnuts on the long straight at the bottom of the course, great fun to watch.
Toni Kelly in the Civic was awesome, she was brillant on the handbrake at the 'hair-pin' bend

Oh nice De Tomasso Pantera, one of the best looking cars ever imo.

And the Maserati Gran Turismo looks fantastic, great pics.

who was the red alfa 155 with the black wheels that turned up late?
So for the record - we had at least 17 AO cars... (not counting that 155) and then a Delta and "banned Pat" to make it 20 in our group

That was Janis from Cork, not sure of his AO username. I had the great pleasure of following the Delta for approx 20 miles. I seriuosly fell in love with it.

It was so mint... and the other one too.
Both had babies in the back - lol.. change of image
But seriously - I think if either had named a price I would have bought - no question.. I seriously reduced the amount of pics I took of both that went online.. They were immaculate and I couldn't take my eyes off them.

Great day out, despite the slow start and questionable organisation of the event co-ordinators.
Pretty good for a first attempt, never the less. Next year should be even better.
Had a bit of banter with a black Ferrari on the way home. Was crawling past him doing 220kms on the satnav.
He floored it, and was gone in less than a second, waving as he went..
This was, of course, a private stretch of the N7. Only him and me on it...

irish festival of speed afterparty!
hey guys,
as we all mentioned it was a good turn out for something that we had little knowledge on. but i think next year (if there is one) or the next irish car show that we attend, that we put a little more effort into it. And before anyone starts to complain on that comment... read on...
We clearly wearnt the only big group of car owners their, but what would make us different and make people look more is perhaps see if we can get a dealer there with a bit of a stand and have the area perhaps roped off a little and a few flags and banners all set up the night before, and even if we dont go that far with a dealer then maybe a nice big tent promoting Alfa Romeo's and inviting people in to view and explain more for instance, get some large pictures of your guys work and effort on each of your machines and events that take place under the alfa owners website. even though i saw alot of people taking interest in one or two of the models i also saw many walk past because of the position we were in and to most they were just cars also a few too many people leaning and resting on them.
i'm happy to look into raising the profile for Alfa's if we attend next year, i'm pretty sure we could get a dealer on board and they will have shed loads of promotional gear.
i mean its just a thought, but would be good to make and become a big part of a show, also see if we have anyone that has a Alfa race car we could show off on track raising the profile for the website. i'm pretty sure we would get massive interest.
Apparently NOT the only White 155 in Ireland, If I find you I will shoot you!

You've currently only got a choice of 3 Dealers to get on board & from what I've seen Dealers & AR Ireland have enough of a problem providing brochures to interested customers at times let alone managing to get any additional promo gear.
Just my experience & I'd love to be proved wrong
PS there's an existing thread for the IFS http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/repub...th-thread.html (IFS-2011 Aftermath Thread) Maybe a MOD/REP can merge
