The purse strings are pulling!
I was just idly totting up what I've already spent on my 33 project without it having turned a wheel, and I started doing a few searches on sites with that budget. The results are startling!
1) 4 and a 7/8th thai brides (I know where to shop!)
2)A lada niva (off road toy?)
3)x2 suzuki vitarai (off road toy with spares?)
4) x2 kayaks, used with some bits.
5) enough crap from the pound shop to fill a small bedsit.
I'm just starting to think maybe my time (and money) would be better spent on my family than in the garage. I have my work cut out with the 156 and its thirst for parts, chuck in a knackered 33 that has more wrong than right with it?

3)x2 suzuki vitarai (off road toy with spares?)

or you could fix the Alfa, bring it to the next meet, make everybody happy, take me for a spin, and enjoy the compliments

your spending too much time idly totting things up and not enough time repairing, get back into that garage. Seriously though once its all done you'll say to yourself it was worth it

Dude 10 years ago my 33 was exactly where yours is. I couldn't add up what it owes me.the engine stands me a grand plus, factor in new seats, springs brakes etc and it doesn't make for happy thoughts. I will say that it kept me out of the pub and out of trouble. once you have some miles under it, it'll be easier.

You're probably right Mark, Just never seem to get the fecking time! As for getting it to the next meet, not a cat in hells chance, I had a rough plan to have it ready for NCT by the end of the year and start doin the cosmetic bits in the run up to the summer!.
Maybe keep the thai bride in the garage, at least it would motivate me to get in there after a shift!
