Boxing Journey time from Dublin (citywest) to belfast international

Hi lads,

I am having a bit of a barney with the missus here. We have a flight out of belfast @ 3:30 tomorrow afternoon. i have to work until 11:30 . She is doing her nut about us not making the flight. I think we will have enough time to make it. We have to be checked in by 2. I will be on the M50 @ 11:30. So should be there by 1:30. Am i right?

Google maps has it at 2:21 from Bray, if you get your petrol tonight and don't stop you should be ok I'd say, you need to be lucky with the traffic though.

Be careful as the guards love to stay between exit 4 and exit 7-8.

Duly noted. Nice one!

Just checked and the check in closes 40 mins before departure. So that's 2:50. That gives me an hour over run. Should be cool.

barry its dualer all the way to Belfast now so the slowest you will be doing is 100. I regularly go to Dundalk with work and can do it from my office in Citywest in about 45 to 50 mins and that isnt breaking the limit, Dundalk is slightly closer to Belfast and once you hit Lurgan its back to Motorway so you will be doing 120, 2hours 50 should be plenty of time. But If I where you I'd check with AA route planner. BTW which airport because there is two in Belfast!

Hopefully he's in a fit state to update later

That's not Strictly true though!
There is indeed only one Airport in Belfast - George Best "City" Airport and the other Belfast Airport is 30 miles away in a different Town (Antrim) is Belfast "International" Airport. Only in Ireland.

Just back in from my holiday. We made it well in time. I dropped the missus at the door of the airport and went to park the car. I arrived in and she was in tears. The div had booked the flight for the wrong day. Cost us 500 euro to get on the correct flight.
