Anyone selling a mint 156?
Hello,
Blooming ages since I logged in here, late last year I was here looking for advice on 156's but gave up after I seen 11 or 12 ropey ones. I bought a BMW 318is instead which I am now selling onto a friend as it's developed complex oil leaks that will cost more then the car is worth to fix so it's time to move on.
I want to try another search for a 156 again, I'm looking for a very clean car, no Done Deal johnny specials:tut. Budget is about 2k give or take. I'm waiting for my friend to pay up for my BMW so might be 2 weeks before I can get out there looking.
Anyone here selling a car?
Tom

1.6 or 1 .8 would be more ideal

I'll sell you mine but I'd want more than 2k for it considering the extras in it.

If i was you i wouldn't go for a 1.6. They are underpowered IMO and will go through near the same amount of juice as a 1.8.

Hi Tom,
I have a mint metallic grey 2004 156 Ti 1.8 that I have just recently decided to sell, 59k miles, FSH, timing belt just serviced a few weeks ago, I would be looking for more than 2k though, let me know if you want to know more.
Maurice.

Sounds like you put alot into it, I'm sure it's a cracker. I'm really looking for at least a 2002 year car though. If I end up paying near 3k which I probably will end up doing it will be the bigger 1.8 aswell.

No bother at all. I wouldn't really be too pushed on the year of the car as they are all basically the same to be honest.

Hey Tomasso... Are you the user name 'Lighning' on boards.ie by any chance?? Just wondering as there is a similar hunt on there for a 156 at the moment.
EDIT: Naw I'm wrong.. the other lad picked up his one last night.... sorry!
Best of luck with your hunt. Lots of 156 out there, very few loved ones. If I see one here is the sticks of Co Cork I'll post a link here
Cheers
Cathal

Ye I met him twice before, I'll give him a ring in the morning and ask him. There is another lad there in a garage in Tallaght who is an ex Alfa technician who I was planning to ask
