Dublin Dealers / Irish Dealers

Thought the Grandons thread was excellent so maybe we should set up a thread for people to recommend or not Irish Alfa Romeo dealers. I have been through all of the Dublin dealers and could tell some stories. Suffice to say you have to stay on top of them and be slow to part with your money...

I think you have to be a small bit careful with saying too much about dealers as there are probably lots of good and bad stories about a lot of them... the Grandons thread is a prime example.

Alasta have been pretty good for me, the best of the main dealers I have used by a long way with a lot of outside the box knowledge too..

Alasta are near the ballsbridge side of Ringsend.
South Lotts road.
There is a sales display building, and then beside that the garage facilities.

Gerry @ TI Auto's is 100%. His work is frankly perfect and he's a bit cheaper than the main dealers (tho not cheap!).

Rancido if it's an Alfa dealer in the Dundrum area then perhaps you're thinking of Victor Motors in Goatstown a half mile from the Goat Grill. I've only used them to order spare parts from, never to get work done.

Re: Dublin Dealers / Irish Dealers

Victor motors is now closed, used to be just a service agent and selling Citroen. Closed and a BMW dealer set up there temporarily (the one from Milltown, can't remember the name, while their dealership was renovated) last time I passed it was Esmonde Motors a Ford dealer that used to be in Stillorgan. They must have sold up. Only dealers left in the Southside are Airton in Tallaght , Ambrose glass in Kilternan (who i use) and i think Alasta (who used to be just a service dealer) & Donoghues on the Kylemore road. This could be wrong though as they are constantly changing which does not give you that warm feeling for customer service. I dealt with HB Dennis who used to me a main dealer and are no longer, Victor, and Airton. Good to haer the positive reports on Ti as i had heard good things about him
