I am finding the new format so cluncky and difficult to use I'm sadly not on here as much. There are adverts in all the wrong places and even when I try to exit the 'new' view it won't now let me.
And then I get Sky adverts and merc adverts, all in the worst places. The classifieds, whichever bit I press just opens up another window and that keeps going until you get bored.
Even typing now, I can only get about eight lines of text in before it drops below the IPhone key pad...
I'm using an app called Tapatalk on iOS - get the occasional ad but in a decent location - may be worth trying though not sure about other operating systems
It goes mental on one of my Android devices (refuses to switch back to legacy)
and the logging out/in seems to unsettle it on all platform for a few days.
for those that are experiencing lag on their desktops, I recommend getting a Do Not Track extension - it's mainly the 'facebook connect' tracker that is slowing it down, as well as the adverts.
I have no idea what a skin is, I just would like the site to be a little more basic and a lot more user friendly.
If, every time I want to comment on a post I know have to sign in as well, it's not going to take too long before I get bored.
There are lots of really knowledgable people on here that share (mainly) their ownership a experiences and tips to keep our cars going. If this forum continues to become more and more user unfriendly it will lose its appeal and 'technical edge'.
Apologies for the moan but this is really rubbish on an IPhone.
The skin (layout style) dropdown window is at the bottom of the page on the left, if you aren't already I suggest you try using one of the Classic styles. I find they work well on my old iProduct.
I have finally managed to exit the enhanced view and it now works a lot better wil no ads on my IPhone. I suggest others do it too as it has simplified access etc
