TUT Driving instructors on the M40...

Round trip to Birmingham today, and not impressed to see two driving instructors (one from Red and the other who looked like an independent) driving for mile after mile in the middle lane when the inside lane was completely empty!

To cap it all they were both doing about 85.....

Now I'm not necessarily squeaky clean in terms of sticking to 70 , but these two were hardly a good advertisement for tiro drivers. If they drive like that when they are on their own, I only hope if they do post driving test motorway courses they "do as I say not as I do".

My brother had a lesson with RED the other day, and he was meant to drive into Oxford for his lesson.

When the instructor arrived the instructor told my brother that they couldn't because she didn't have enough Diesel.

Oxford is about 10 miles away.

Needless to say the rest of the lessons he had booked were cancelled.

Around here all driving instructors seem to pootle around in their own little bubble, taking all the time in the world to pull away at lights, junctions etc. I get more than frustrated and tend to either sit on their bumper (I know this is frowned on, but hey, there are worse crimes) or pull past and cut them up. They may have all the hours in the day to waste, but I don't

I can't condone worrying learner drivers - we were all there once, some more confident than others...but anyone let alone an instructor, hogging the centre lane does get my goat.

Where do you keep your goat and why would you want to give it away ?

I quite agree...........I'm talking about when it's just the instructor in the car, no pupil.
