The Dairy Shelf

This is going to sound a bit petty and rather ridiculous to those of you who aren't fussy about their fridge (or have at least fair to middling OCD). In my fridge, everything is grouped together and the second shelf up is the dairy shelf where all manner of dairy products (cream, cheese, butter etc) are stored. I' m very particular that only products of a dairy nature are stored on this shelf.

So, imagine my utter HORROR just now when I just found not one but SEVERAL Guinness cans on this shelf........the world is going to end, I'm sure

La Dolce Vita...

Guinness IS dairy.

And part of your five a day,

and cereal,

and good for you.

So I've been told.

No, no, NO! Stop that, Milo!

The Guinness has now been moved to it's rightful place on the bottom shelf (this is starting to sound like a McIntryre sketch).

Guinness in the bottom, surely that's the area for those green crispy things?

Ackshirley, that is the best place, unless the salad drawer is free?

Salad, that's what I was thinking of.

Now back to Guinness, in a fridgepack on the shelf, chilling ready for Sunday's Rugby.

The bottom SHELF!

The Guinness in the veg/salad drawer would be as bad as the dairy shelf.

I agree Divadear....everything has it's place in the fridge. My fridge has a small freezer at the top, so my beers go on the top shelf to chill more quickly

Yuck, whilst you could put something as unimportant as milk with the scabby stuff, not Guinness

....in a bush.

Yes, it must be clean.....as must the freezer. Old ice in the freezer generally harbours smells through bits of frozen food that get stuck at the back.

Puss has been known to 'sit' in the fridge when the shelves are out when I'm cleaning it

I'm 100% with you on this on DD.

Top shelf is salad
Next down is dairy
3rd more dairy and things like dip
bottom is cold meat/cooked meat/ Leftovers
Two draws on the bottom Left draw root veg, right draw uncooked meat that has been taken from the feezer
Eggs, milk and sauces in the door

Hev never gets it right

Now, you were so close. The salad goes in the salad drawer, not defrosting meats. They go in the other fridge next to the freezer in the garage
