Not Happy 2012.... Whoop 'd.......

F'ing do . Well looks like i'm off to a flying start this year. Radiator on the jtd has died and i've got to replace it. Wouldn't have been so bad but yesterday morning i was also replacing the brake discs on the 305's as they are warped only to discover they were 284's should have flipping checked it myself and after wasting an hour putting it all back together i've stripped one of the bloody bolts in the hub so the front left wheel can't go back on. These were brand new alfa items only 6months old when i did the brake conversion. on top of this the Gta has been waiting for a new set of top arms which have been in my garage a couple of weeks but because i haven't done it the thing has only thrown a wobbly and f***ed the alternator for me so thats going to be a right barrel of laughs to change just made it home today. The bmw is laid up over winter with no tax and small remedial work so that leaves me and the mrs with 1 car to go to work in tuesday. Whoop 'd do. Thank you new year great start

Bad luck matey

I guess the more cars you have, the more problems you have.

Replacing the alternator on the GTA is not a job that I would relish

I had two tyres stabbed in the sidewall on New Years eve... Car is still stranded 30km from home because I don't have two spares... AND it's still public holidays, so no tyre shops are open 'til Wednesday...

The oxygen thieves came out to play on NYE... Pirelli's too... I'm hoping the car is still otherwise untouched...!

I know mate but all at once. I have managed to salvage the JTD hub so it is useable but I need re tap the thread. I've got loads of metric fine taps but not an M12x 1.25 for some reason

2008 BMW 730d..... sorry

Things that have gone wrong in the house since midnight on New Years eve.....

1. En-suite loo started leaking through kitchen ceiling below during the New Year eve party!!! (never EVER get talked into installing a mascherator.... they are rubbish )

2. Sewer in driveway got blocked, Dynorod called out. they couldnt clear it completely so awaiting a CCTV scan to see if driveway needs digging up...

3. Heavy downpours on Sunday caused some guttering to pull away from rear of house

4. Roof light in extension decided to start dripping water last night in light rain

5. Brand new unsealed floor tiles in newly decorated downstairs loo got "cleaned" by wife with Cilit Bang... which has stained the tiles and can't be shifted despite buying some very expensive heavy duty tile cleaner from a specialist and using wire wool on a power drill to scrub!! (What on EARTH does Cilit Bang contain!!!)

An expensive start to the New Year indeed...

In New Zealand if a public holiday falls on a weekend, it is transferred to the next working day. We get two days at New Year, 1st and 2nd usually, but the 1st was a Sunday here, so that holiday gets transferred to Tuesday.

Have rescued car, using two 225/50/16 Yokohama's I had on some BMW rims at home. Priced up replacement 205/55/16 Pirelli's, andthey're $360 each...

On the upside, at least no further vandalism took place while the car was stranded...

Hope you've made some good progress with your NY problems...!

That would be about $140 NZD for your Goodyears. Pirelli's are expensive here...! And so are Alfa parts...!
