Trying to book a flight online

I'm looking for flight prices for a little break I'm having in May, it's simple enough I want to fly London to Luxembourg as economically as possible.

I go to Skyscanners web site because they seem like a good place to start, put in my requirements, dates etc and they come up with flights with Air France from London City Airport for £103 which I thought was reasonable. Click on the link to book the flight, taken to the AF site, I'm looking for my £103 return flight that was advertised on Skyscanner... nowhere to be found the cheapest flight available was £160 which is OTT in my opinion Where did my £103 return go ? I think the prices must be live and I've just been unlucky so I try the process again, same thing happens ! Skyscanner 'live' price £103 Air France actual price £160 Where did that £57 come from and why don't you advertise the true price of your flights you bunch of Frenchists At least you know where you are with Ryanair... expect nothing for free

How is this AF's problem?


Sounds like "Sky Scanners" is the problem.


FYI it sounds like it may be picking up one of the discount fairs
AF does for couples, old people, sailors, oil workers etc.




I either use the airline direct or Amadeus.net
or go though expedia, ebookers




If you're looking for cheap, try slEasyJet for going to france.

Edit: Even slEasyjet are not really budget anymore Have you seen what they charge ? Unless you book months in advance you pay about the same as British airways.


Hmmmm..... a plague on both their houses Skyscanner get your web site working properly you lazy bunch of accountants (No offence to any accountants on AO) If you say live prices they better be live prices not prices from last month

I feel your pain my friend......I booked two return tickets to Ireland last year(ended up not going and lost the money, but that's another story). Being a bit 'green' when it comes to travel, I was initially chuffed at the really low price....but then tax, baggage etc made it one very expensive trip. Slightly different to your situation, but all the same, traveling by air does seem to be full of hidden costs.

Check their prices for Cannes or Monaco GP week,
no matter how far in advance you book...

Hi re the proposed trip. lufthansa to frankfurt and on from there, should be a good price.
