Madness One Eyed Motorway Monsters

The GT has a terrible blind spot as anyone who's driven one will tell you

So spotting one eyed motorway monsters is almost impossible

I must have almost taken out at least three of you B'stards this week

I cost's a couple of £££ and a few minutes time to cahnge a bulb you lazyarsedfeckers

Get you hands in your pockets and your owners manuals out and change the efcking blown blubs

What about the 3 eyed motorway monsters?

(think that having fog lights on will make up for having a headlight out)

Of course there are a few cars (some of the Renaults, I believe, that require the front bumper to be removed to change the headlamp bulb - but I agree that there do seem to be a lot of people who don't seem to care, just as there are plenty whose headlamps are hopelessly mis-aligned.....made worse with HIDs........

My HIDs are perfect. As testified by a couple of NWers

All bulbs work on mine, lights are pretty much useless if one is out

Anyone else noticed the number of cars with duff headlights increase since we hit on tough times? Apart from that renault, does a bulb really cost that much?

It's hazardous things like this that should be clamped down on, not folk who happen to be a few miles over the speed limit

Why of course, when you do your full safety check of wheels and tyres, lights and indicators, windows and mirrors (inside and out), plus that all other external parts are fully secure, also all fluid levels and air pressures etc. are correctly adjusted and that you have a valid driving licence for the type of vehicle and that it is fully legal i.e. Taxed and Insured accordingly, before driving off each day as advised in the highway code.
You will find any problems and get them corrected pretty dam quickly and therefore be of as little annoyance to other road users as humanly possible

As we all do

I concur that any moron that fails to carry out this basic duty should be kept off the roads totally

Steady on HM Old Chap, I'm turning into a Cyclops, misty eyed old git I'm becoming, so she says. But I agree, I was taught to check the instruments and ALL vehicle functions including lights before driving off. Just have to ensure her ladyship follows suit?

A reflection on the overall lack of awareness of safety issues with a motor vehicle. Sloppy lot out there that do not give a monkeys.:

Make sure it's not a motorbike though eh?

On a motorway related issue, I watched with slight apprehension and some amusement this morning as the car in front of me (it was still dark incidentally) in the outside lane began to indicate right and attempted to overtake the van in front of him! I honestly thought he was going to hit the barrier but the surface change alerted him in time

It is a nasty bit of motorway for visibility in this weather but even so he should be able to count to 3, surely!

Since I'm considering buying one, tell me more! I presume the blind spot is out the back somewhere?

Exactly the situation im in. Stealer wants 280quid to fit a damn bulb and my hand is too big to fit in the 'convenient' hole in the wheel arche. Training my 3 year old to be able to do it is taking more time than I'd like.

Looking out the rear screen in the mirror was described by Roswell as looking through a letter box, how he knows that god only knows

and the C pillars are that wide and the rear quarter windows that small you have to be pretty observant
