Listen chaps, chill, if you are nt doing anything wrong you ve nothing to worry about, plus, you think there are enough people to watch all the footage and imagery etc? Well there isnt, CCTV and surveillance does not stop crime and naughtiness but it does make it easier to find out who needs their botty spanking! I m all for it and we just all need to relax a tad. As for the dog turding the pavement and the owner not cleaning it up, I m all up for using the footage to shame them and (dare I say it) request they clear it up, God forbid some one in our Bluddy country take some responsibility!!!!! Litter dropping, dog turds, theft, laziness and all round badness, if it needs to proven because people are not honest, then so be it!! I m all for it!

It's just a shame the UK is turning into the rest of the world
where you have no rights and the "authorites" (Mostly plod)
just lord it over the rest of society.

Heard some truly shocking cop stories this weekend:
Bullet holes in restaurants, planted drugs etc. The moral
I took away was never go out with someone who's
dated/divorced a France cop. You will regret it and
may end up in Prison.

That's why these changes in UK law **** me off because
the UK seems to be heading down the road of becoming
like everywhere else.

Funny, what a couple of nasty experiences will do to a person
ain't it? But I think maybe you're right and I've got a bit of a
problem.

They do say people who have a bad experience will tell twice as many people who have good ones...?

The pair on the video were embarassing tho

It's unfortunate that the circumstances where people get to meet Old Bill now are generally at times of conflict.

They used to do all sorts once upon a time ...lost dogs, property, school crossings etc. It enabled them to meet the public on a non threatening level, but that's not what the Gov wants now...

it's a shame.

Sorry about your experience

Re: For those who support new laws for "combatting terror"[sic]...

So if the Americans have the highest percentage per capita of their population of the 'western world' in jail, and we feel the need for constant surveillance in order to feel safe, what right do we have to force 'democracy' onto our Middle Eastern, (oil rich!) neighbours?

Re: For those who support new laws for "combatting terror"[sic]...

All these things are not helped by a government that seems to think that a nanny state browbeating is what the british public needs.

As I fill out my SORN, and stick up my No Smoking signs and wait for my ID card to drop through the letterbox....

I fear the police are on the receiving end of an indefinable fury welling up in people.

The point about the public only coming in contact with them on enforcement issues is a good one.
