Madness Dinged a BM

Just leaving work this evening and putting some bits on the back seat I lent in to the car a bit to far and the door clonked the car next to mine.

Had a look and it's a spanking new series1 beemer with a small but noticable ding in rear quater panel.

I just drove off because I was already late but I'll have to confess in the morning.

Really Pee'd off with myself for not taking more care but not as pee'd off as I would be if it was my brand new car.

So I'm going to do the right thing, pay for any repairs and I'll probably still get shouted at.

156 2.0 jts Lusso Sportwagon,Vela Blue,Tan Leather.

Re: Dinged a BM

The indignity of doing it to a Bavarian Meat Wagon of all things - you'll probably get a tirade of comments about rust and Alfa drivers being the most inconsiderate and conceited on the road

Confessed this morning and the lady was very good about it but thinks her husband won't be quite so relaxed. So just have to wait for the bill now.

Mate you didn't mean to do it and accidents happen, if he can't see that then he's a prick.

You did the right thing, your conscience is clear

never mind the BM, is your Alfa OK?

as SR says, A SMART repairer or Chips Away can do wonders for £100.

1 Series BM?

How could you tell the dent wasn't part of the design?

Because he always parks next to me... always

And the day I discovered the dent he'd parked elsewhere !!

Re: Dinged a BM

He is.

I did mention that I'd heard good reports about Chipsaway during the conversation and there is one a 10 minute drive from work so hopefully thats where it will go.

Admire your honesty, but what with all the creases and bends on them it would have been months before he noticed anyway
