Another rise!!!

Just driven past my usual petrol station to find that the price has risen again....this time by 3p a litre!!

So now a litre of standard unleaded costs me 114.9!!! Unbelievable!

When will this daylight robbery stop? If it goes up anymore i will have to sell the car!!!

I think we all knew that once it crashed through the £1 barrier it would just race up to £2 ...

118.9 here...I can now fit £12 more petrol in my GT than I could a year ago.

Since inflation is only 3% that must mean my tank has somehow got bigger!

Ahhh, inflation, the government only add products to the inflation figure that don't go up in price ... one of the "inflation figures" is an imaginary shopping basket, recently added to this "imaginary basket" were LCD TV, obviously because you buy them every week when you go to tesco's, not because they are going down in price ...


I won't be surprised when it costs £100 to fill up my JTD ...

On average it rises about 1p a week here. Its 110.9 for unleaded and 123.9 for the dirty smelly stuff.

It's still cheaper than vodka...

not a bad point though. a bottle of water costs upto £1 and that comes from the sky, not drilled from underground, refined and then transported to the forecourts

we still don't pay more than some parts of europe

UK pays 57% tax...rest of EU pays about 30% on average. There was a table in the Telegraph a couple of days ago.

UK only place where tax on diesel is more than on petrol.

The UK tax is the same on petrol on Diesel. However, as the price is higher due to production/demand reasons you have to pay more VAT.

i go past a petreol station on the way home a BP, and since monday it has gone up as follows:
Monday: 111.9
Tuesday:112.9
Wednesday: 115.9
i nearly fell of my bike......i don't buy7 fuel there though i go to the local Shell which is at 109.9.....

£112.9 here yesterday - £114.9 today.

Its getting very silly now for every 8p thats added to a gallon another 2p is added in vat

oh it was in the paper must be accurate then

the old fella just come back from a buisness trip in europe. he said that denmark, holland, germany and sweden pay just as much if not more than us.

It was wrong. Its actually 70% of the fuel cost that is tax.

then surely the other EU countries i stated pay the same amount in tax?

I currently pay 1.57 Euro = 125p /litre
for SP98

i bought a new mountain bike , and now leave my car at home ,ive lost eight pounds feel alot better and my car stays nice and clean

I filled the 147 up last Friday, 107.9 a litre

Filled the Sprint up this Tuesday gone, 109.9 a litre

WE here in Great Britannia (rulers of the universe) have the RIGHT to have CHEAP EVERYTHING!!
WE have the RIGHT to live comfortably and become fat off the back of the rest of the world.
I as a BRITISH citizen, therefore DEMAND to have cheaper fuel as it is against my British rights (Britons have more rights than other inferior nations) to pay such EXTORTIONATE fuel bills.
