In anticipation of getting my new car in the next month or so I have just started to look for insurance. I thought Id try Alfa Romeo insurance - They turned me down! - Im 29 with 7 years no claims, no accidents or points!!!

They turned you down - very strange.

Try swiftcover.com - pretty good for me.

There is also Chris Knott who is sort of affiliated with AROC.

Re: Alfa Romeo insurance

I found direct line way cheaper than anybody. It just shows how its luck of the draw. One person gets good quote another gets a bad one. Doesnt seem to be any real rules to insurance.

I've found esure brilliant if you've got a fair bit of no claims, which you seem to.

Sainsbury's (esure) gave me my best quote but Chris Knott offered to beat it by 10%....and did!

Good result ! They certainly gave me the best quote and I feel more comfortable with them as they are good at what they do and give a more personal and informed service than these places which advertise extensively on line which are sometimes not so good when it comes to sorting out problems.

Happy motoring.

Re: Alfa Romeo insurance

Try Cheap loans | mortgages | credit cards | home & car insurance - moneysupermarket.com

For some reason their price comparison saves me hundreds over the results from confused.com

Bell/Elephant always seem to be the cheapest for me...worth a go

I think that 10% undercut offer is conditional on being an AROC member which is still a good deal - I got a big saving.
