Re: Women

6 I can believe. 23 ain't ever going to happen. Certainly not till you get rid of Rafa.
We'll pass you in league championships before you ever win another.

Erm...
Liverpool play entertaining football. Gerrard isn't a vicious little whining scumbag. Carragher is a world class defender, and not at all clumsy and slow.

Maybe when Keanos legs were beginning to fail. Although he still used to give Gerrard a lesson in midfield play twice a year. And until the Scholes-Carrick partnership showed what it could do.
But now? Nah. I prefer our players, they pass to each other, not 70 yards Hollywood passes straight out of play while trying to get that 'ting' effect on their teeth off the floodlights.

Plus of course, we don't have to administer death threats to get them to stay with us. Which is nice.

Do you think he'll hand in another transfer request this year when Arsenal knock you out?

To be fair Gerrard has come a long way since he played jimmy grimble in the film 'There's only one Jimmy grimble'

Re: Women

How far's he come since playing Jack the Ripper?

Actually, I dunno if it's the way he's holding his arms, but he always reminds me of those blokes out of Monty Python in this picture, the Gumby men were they called?

TUT Re: Women

Hi Al,

I've been busy this last few days and lost touch with your mother-in-laws settee scenario......

(serious comment warning)
Nursey is a dilemma... But you have no idea what being a father will mean to you...
I would suggest (from experience) that there will be a few more dilemmas and ****ty days ahead, but nothing will fulfil you more than being a father. And make sure you do a ******' good job mate..they deserve it!

Sorry, i think Man u v's Barca in moscow ......works for me!

Now, where's that aupair hiding......

Might do, but it's not possible. We're in the same half of the draw.

Racist!!!...or is that Regionalist!!!

Mind you - damned decent of you to realise that Holly won't be good enough for him!

I think he's achieved that. Even a rabid Liverpool fan must have the odd moment of honest clarity and realise how long it has been since they even threatened to win the league never mind dominate it as they used to...in the past (where they once accused us of living!)

Crikey! Al, I'm amazed this is still in the air with nursey. I'm glad to see your comment above but temptation is a dangerous and insidious beastie. Be careful chap. The buzz of desire can blind you to reality and to what you already have.

You mention cards-on-the-table and fear that you might have misread her signals. Maybe that's the best way of having a heart-to-heart with her? It still flatters her, admits your attraction and the gaping disaster zone that awaits should you succumb. Ask her to understand and to help avoid it reaching that stage by understanding if you try and be a little less flirtatious.

I'm speaking from experience. I got really tempted 5 or 6 years ago in much the same way as you. We never even held hands but for a while the whole thing simmered and could easily have boiled over. Tempting for sure but I stepped back. Shortly after MrsJim got pregnant for the fifth time and we had our first child (you've met Thomas). I still think it was my reward from God and I'm not a terribly religious person.

Tread carefully my friend. Try and spend some time reminding yourself why you fell in love with MrsAl. Do something nice for her - she might appreciate a gentle romantic gesture while she feels all big and unattractive and under threat from nursey .

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

already got to the cards-on-table stage a couple of weeks ago jimster and no, i wasn't misreading the signals i'm afraid. would've been easier if i had been but alas no, she's had a crush on me for the last 2 years
