South African Car Sales
Alfa/Fiat Group Doing Well
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They sold more Labos than Alfas Last month.
What is their problem...

Trouble is down there style means nowt - moreinterested in cost and reliability, thats why you sell loads of toyota tazz and citi golfs.

The Tazz was put to bed last year, but the Corsa Lite  is still around.
But True. And of course every second chap has an uncle who works for GMSA, VW, Ford or Toyota....
The Mentality of the Toyota driver here scares me though.
Not one who I have asked as to why have they bought a Toyota, can answer me why.....0

Had a tazz as a hire car once - good awfull thing, thank god it was axed over here in the 80's
Corsa lite - do they all have tints / big wheels - exhausts and boom boxes.
The only reaon is that they are reliable - no other reason ost of mates in CPT drive toyotas for this reason. |

Same up here - big wheels / stupid body kits / crap exhausts and what I term dumpf dumpf tapes - you can hear the bass about three miles away, they must all be deaf. |

They will try to race anything anytime anywhere, as I was driving my Elise along a two lane road at about 60 I even had one pull along side and hang out the window trying to get me to race - I just told him where to go.
Just had one boy (Had a licence for 2 days) kill 4 passengers as he was showing off in a corsa. |

It is a pity that the 159 is not selling as well as the 156 did in SA or did it.

Never saw to many Alfa's around Kaap Stad mostly white corollas, citi golf etc - saw a few 147 there.
Yes the kid has been to court and got off with a 18month ban and a fine.
Not a lot for killing 4 young girls - he should have beem locked up fpr a minimum of 20 years. |

Dont know who paid the fine - but 18mths ban is poor - some magistrates do not live in the real world.
They thought he had suffered enough with having to live with that on his mind - what about the girls parents. |
