No, its not a metaphor for something else, honest...
My Brera's quad exhausts are slowly turning black. When I wash the car I can get the chrome finish nice and shiny on the top, but it would be nice to be able to polish the chrome ends of the exhausts properly.
Does anyone know of any chrome polish available and the best method to get my exhausts gleaming again?!
I use motorbike chrome cleaner you can pick up in motorbike shops (or at least, you can here). It's the same stuff you would polish your Harley with... I use it on my chrome intake runners and the shine is incredibubble.
Interestingly I had this problem with my 2.2 Brera (I'd polish the black off the pipes and in no time at all it'd be back again) but I don't get it with the 2.4.
Will this be because the DPF takes most of the soot out?

A once only over with T cut, G10 or autosol to restore it then a weekly wipe with a microfibre will keep it at bay - you dont want to keep using abrasives on it.
