The icesheets are melting...

Apparently the Greenland icesheet is disappearing now quicker than at any time before. What does this mean is going to happen?

I read somewhere that melting ice caps/sheets
would screw up the density of water in the
North Atlantic and screw up the
gulfstream.

Therefore UK would get the big chill!!

(So other!)

And just how far do recorded temperatures go back?

I was at the british museum las t year and it looked to me like so called 'global warming' was just part of a bigger cycle over thousands of years.

If the sea level rises at least there won't be a water shortage in Norfolk...

Re: The icesheets are melting...

mmmm.......sounds like fun, can we all have a go in the wheel.

Maybe if you set trap doors inthe wheel it could be the

'WHEEL OF DESTINY'

with various pits of doom or salvation to fall into.............

........or then again, maybe we could just run for a bit

Re: The icesheets are melting...

It is likely the massive infux of fresh water into the North Atlantic will slow and even stop the "North Atlantic Conveyor' which brings warm water from the Equator and makes Britain and Ireland and much of Norther Europe inhabitable. If the 'coveyor' stops , then expect freezing temperatures in the UK and ice around the coast up to 5 miles deep ...nice....!!!!!!
