Re: Internet Explorer Or Mozilla Firebox?

If you are using Firefox try the "Stumbleupon" add-on, it randomly selects web pages for you based on user set parameters.

Switched to Firefox not three days ago. Pretty good so far but the jury's still out.

Re: Internet Explorer Or Mozilla Firebox?

I voted other, as I am currently using Avant Browser.

This is basically a front end to IE that provides all the benefits of tabbed browsing and ad/pop-up blocking.

I was having some problems with Firefox with compatibility and performance. I configured FF with the setting provided in the other thread, but I was finding that after a while it would slow down again (not sure if this might have been a problem with the cache or something).

And because it is essentially running IE in the background, it is 100% compatible.

Very happy with it.

IE for me as it is supplied by company.
Think I`ll download Mozilla & check it out.

AO Gods:

How about looking into enabling an RSS feed from the forums? Firefox has RSS support. Would save us all visiting the site directly saving you bandwidth = cost, and we can all easily see new post and quickly decide to view, rather than "trawling" through the site?

Re: Internet Explorer Or Mozilla Firebox?

Experience shows that RSS feeds can actually increase the bandwidth consumed

I have to agree with Green Cloverleaf - Avant Browser is tops!!

No more daft popups! Woohoo

Tabs and site compatability are great too!

Re: Internet Explorer Or Mozilla Firebox?

Firefox (work) and Safari (home) 99% of the time, mainly because speed, stability, tabs, bookmark management, and pop-up blocking.

That 1% is for the office intranet which only supports IE.

True. I don't know how it manages, but it's quicker.
