Do you ever sit in the passenger seat of a car with your feet out the window?
Strikes me as asking for an amputation, especially the way people
drive around here.

Not out the window, no. Though do find it comfy taking shoes off and plonking feet up on the dash of Mrs HST's renault scenic. Places one at a very laid back angle, nice for a snooze

Almost as bad.
And also chancing amputation.
If you did it in my car.

This is a renault scenic. Can you think of anywhere better to air your sweaty feet?

No. If anyone tried putting their feet anywhere but the floor in my car for the sake of being comfortable, they would quickly find out that dead legs are not actually all that comfortable after all.

No
My girlfriend did that once. I told her that if the airbag went off, she'd get folded up into a most uncomfortable position. She stopped.

Good answer . However, I'd have then said "I'll do my best but you can't account for the stupidity of all the other numpties on the road..."

I'm with the bear on this one.
I only ever let one person do this, ever...
... Suffice to say, she was INCREDIBLY sexy. I'd have forgiven her anything.
Unfortunately, "high maintenance" was a massive understatement with her!!!
The car stayed. She got binned.

I had some idiot in a 156 crash full tilt into the back of my company car (which ended up totalled), but the idiots' idiot mate in the front had his feet out of the window at the time of the accident.
You can only imagine what happen when the passenger side airbag deployed - he was the only one in the 156 to be injured! out of the four of them.
