When I went to the Phlippines, there was millions of them, it was impossible to swat them all.

Despite this I didn't get bit once using the repellent.

Agreed. I especially like Off, but you can't buy it here. I think it's DEET, but for some reason it doesn't sting as much as any of the DEET products I've bought at home.

I'd also like to add Vitamin B to the list. I've got a friend who lives in Hawaii and she's started taking this on my recommendation. She used to be plagued with bites when she sat on her porch in the evening - but not now.

Marmite it's full of Vitamin B which they hate also avoid things like Pineapple it's full of Vitamin C which they love.

I tend to use the missus and my kids as decoys, works most of the time. had one of those electric ennis rackets, but the missus took it off me cos I was slapping her on the bum when she had her back turned.

I heard that too.never used to bother me until I was bitten by a Canadian variant.Since then bitten all the time. so Nev I wear a suit of armour and all the above.
