Which hand to you grab your seatbelt with?
Obviously LHD/RHD has an impact which is
why I'll word the poll this way:
Do you grab your seatbelt with your
door hand or gear stick hand?
I grab it with teh door hand, slip in over my shoulder
and then buckle up with the gearstick hand.
(Means I can lean further forward when exiting my apartment's
blind driveway.)

Gearstick hand, pull it over the shoulder and click into place in one smooth balletic movement.
Also can start the car at the same time with the key in the other hand.

I grab mine with my door hand and pull it out a bit, then take it in my gearstick hand to click in, whilst feeding the belt with my door hand.
I really had to think about that, it's such a automatic movement I couldn't remember what I did.

I reach over with my gear stick hand grab the seatbelt and pull it over to click it in.

I just drove home and realised I've lied.
I grab the belt with my gear stick hand and pull it across, whilst feeding it with my door hand.
It's weird how you can't remember something you do at least twice a day, every day!

It depends what car I am in. In the coupe, the seatbelt hangs quite a long way back as it is only 2 door, so I use the left (Gearstick) hand. On the work van I use my right hand, as the belt hangs nearer to my right shoulder and within easy reach.

I spend most of my journey swearing at the 156 seatbelt, as it locks me in place at every slightest movement.  |

My natural inclination is to twist in the seat and grab it with the gearstick hand, but I can't do that in the Gtv, 'cos I can't reach it!
So in the Gtv its grab it with the right hand, feed it to the left hand and clip it in.
In the 156 it's all done with the left hand.
