Which Games Console?

What games consoles do ye all prefer to play when ye are not here ?

360, not because of the technology but because of the games which I feel most people tend to forget about in the struggle for cosole supremacy.

360 seems to have all the games I want to play, stuff that only comes out on 360 are my kind of games, stuff that only comes out on PS3 tend to be crap aimed at the Japanese Domestic Market unfortunately.

I wish the 360 graphics looked a bit more like the PS3 though, no getting past its pure power, I always thought where the 360 ws 3rd gen the PS3 is about half a gen ahead in power.

None of the current consoles really inspire me. The Wii did a good job of livening the market up with it's new way of playing games. The real problem is that games are a multi million pound business and consoles are locked down to protect those investments.

I know homebrew exists for cracked consoles, but I'll take the bedroom coding days of the speccy and c64 for innovation any day over the current range of shooters and sequels.

Being an old duffer means I'm no good at computer games of any sort. Wii is like playing real physical games, I love it.

i still have a PS2. i dont play on it much but when i do i only ever play GT4 or FIFA 08. im happy with it and id rather save my money at the mo to put forward to my next project car

Watched that Wii Mario and Co. was it ?motorbike race thingie on my daughters machine, on a big screen, four of them playing it with those steering wheels that float in the air, well people are holding them, and from a distance that looks pretty daft imo.. Prefer my Wipeout, on me' old Saturn, prefer playing with myself anyway.

I have a PS3 and love it, my wee boy has a Nintendo Wii. I am absolute pants at it, can't seem to get the hang of the control

I love my 360 though.

I had a 360 a couple of years back, I was number 2 in the world on the time trial around one of the london tracks on Project Gotham. I bet whoever was number 1 in the world wasn't playing it on a 14" portable!!!

xbox 360 (my bro-in-laws) and my ps2

I lived with the Wii for about 6 months. I will never forget those 2 seconds that i enjoyed it. I'm not one to go on about eye candy (ok i am to a certain extent) but the visuals of the Wii were 10 years old at best. I know that isnt what the console is about. Its about waving your arms around like you're on fire, but i just couldn't like it, try as i might. I did think my girls would like it though, especially as one of them has a DS and the games were similarly simple by design, but even they got bored after only a short period. And unless we had people over, and they weren't already bored with it themselves and wanted to play a game (a situation that i think occurred twice) then it sat lifeless and alone in the naughty corner.

The PS3 is everything a console should be and more. Free online play was a Godsend after splashing out extra a month to play on MS servers. It has been said that the games are rubbish, and although there are not as many as there are for the 360 (who thought that name up?) they are incredibly good. GT5 will be out later this year with proper cars, proper stats, proper handling and finally crash damage. And you get to rip round the TG test track too. PlayTV also ships with it with downloadable vids of races from around the world and the ever increasing TG episodes plus more. Not a bad lot for £35. Its not all peaches and cream though. Looks like Rock Band will have a lengthy delay for the PS3 release, and Sony didnt exactly make it easy for developers to write software for it, but its getting there and there are some huge titles on the horizon that promise very special things. I am totally hooked on the PS3, like its earlier incarnations before it, it will dominate the industry.

I still have a Sega Saturn somewhere, and Wipeout was an amazing game!! Zed, we'll have to get together and battle it out

It's a shame Sega aren't still in the running. The Saturn was nice and the Dreamcast was a very under rated console.

What about games from any console or PC, anyone have a top 3?
