Re: AO Car of the Year 2008: 164 & 166 (5)

Hasn't been raised by me, but I'm considering some work on the suspension as at the exhaust system's lowest point, it is only about 75mm off the ground. Is probably the way the car is sitting.

At first I hated driving it around town because of that and the turning circle, but now I've learned how to deal with it so its only my passengers that find it frustrating when I have to go the long way around to avoid speed humps.

75mm is pretty low.

'where' in the car is it like that: right between the front-rear wheels or at the rear wheels? this would impact on whether it would scrape or not, say over a speed hump.

i think the lowest point on my car is between the front wheels, with part of the engine undertray. around 80~85mm i think. which is low enough to scrape occasionally over big dips in the road, at speed.

Yeah the lowest point for me is also just behind the front axle so I do get a scrape sometimes, no matter how hard I try.

Driving home every day I have to crawl over a particular level crossing after the first time I tried it there was a fairly dramatic scraping noise.

Howells811's and Dougle166 are very nice - but I think AGM155's is particularly stunning

Still undecided .
Head says Ant's for keeping her in such good condition, heart is torn between AGm's and Dougies...The other are out because they look just like mine...sorry people.....The wheels dougie with daves old ones on her youd win outright...but Agm you lucky sod .when my first wife left all I got was a 5 year old ford orion BUT 10 years later it was still runing better than her.

I'll need to do more soul sesarching .I'll sleep on it and my get some divine intervention.

Pomeo

God knows how i'll pick any in the other section as I am a 166 man.

Re: AO Car of the Year 2008: 164 & 166 (5)

Very, very close one but in the end there had to be a winner:

Ladies & Gentlemen (drum roll)

I'd like to congratulate AGM155 for being the 164 & 166 Lounge Winner and finalist in the AO Car of the Year Award 2008
