Re: My last accident was caused by a ...

Last collision I had was with a woman...
I was stopped at the side of the road minding my own business, and along came an Escort which, despite there being plenty of space, managed to sideswipe my car....I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when the woman's husband, who was in the passenger seat, said to me...it's her new car, she's just not used to driving it yet...!!!

Sexual magnetism?

Only accident i've ever been in was caused by a guy in tractor on a very narrow country road. I pulled in to let him pass, but he was going too fast and his trailer swung out and smashed into the front of my car and every panel down the driver's side. It was a complete write off. I tried to flag him down but he accelerated off. I was pretty annoyed.

Re: My last accident was caused by a ...

Well technically both my accidents have been my fault...

First on years ago bloke in front stopped to turn right, without indicating, at a the white line on a traffic lights. If he had stopped where he should have I could have driven round him, if he had indicated then I would have reacted sooner. Then again, if i had have been paying more attention i'd have seen him stop.

Second could of years ago, rolling up to a big junction, left turn lane, and could see the road was clear so, stupidly, assumed the car waiting at the line would pull out... look round from checking the road was clear to find her just sitting at the junction. Bang!

Re: My last accident was caused by a ...

I was distracted by a sooooo beautiful girl on the pavement..

I had to peer over my shoulder as I drove past her, to get a better/longer look.

So I didn't notice the car in front had stopped. So that accident was caused by a woman obviously...

Geddit? Doh? A deer? A female deer?

In reverse order...

- man driving his scaffold lorry changed lanes into my n/s/f wing (work vehicle)

- old man pulled out of side road without looking (same work vehicle)

- young, inexperienced girl skidded to avoid stationary vehicle she didn't notice, and skidded directly into my path... wrote off my first Omega...

I've been hit by a woman on a roundabout who had a complete disregard for lane discipline. She obviously didn't see me going the long way round in my clio to undertake her onto the bypass. Lesson learned. For both of us

Re: My last accident was caused by a ...

In my reckless youth the following:-

Fiesta in ditch - me.
Fiesta sideways into road sign - me again.
Different Fiesta rolled over a roundabout, - er er ummm, me again.
My XR3i Cabriolet (yes I know!) into the back of a Landrover, - er umm, me again (but I was distracted by a stunning young lady walking on the side of the road).
My first 147 - Rear ended by a **** in a white van. - Him.
Mazda 6 - Reversed into by a **** in a Saxo, whilst I was stationary and had my hand on the horn for about 5 seconds before he hit me - him.
Mazda 6 - Another bloke in a white van failing to see that I had stopped before smashing into the back of me. - him.

Hmm is there a trend here......
