Not in SA, each supermarket has a butcher in it, only Woolworths does prepack.

There's a Farm shop about 2 mins drive from my house so it's rude not to. They have stuff you can't get in supermarkets as well, goose eggs for one... GIGANTIC EGG BUTTY

Eric our local butcher loves a bit of a gab with the old dears

There's allways a Queue in his shop any cut of meat you want and he gives tips on how to cook it for them that need it

Sounds just like some of my customers , but strangley , their the ones who spend the most .

Bit of one, bit of the other. Supermarket mostly, as it's a tad cheaper.
