I have never liked the XJ220. something I have in common with the various celebs who got themselves on the waiting list then tried to get out of it. Compared to the F1, 959, 288GTO, F40 it looks big, bulbous and unwieldy. The only Jags I don't like are this and the X-Type saloon.
Tough call as neither are especially good looking and don't occupy the same "space" as they say in marketing circles.
The Healey was at it's best as a brash, brutal, hairy-chested rally car. Never a beauty but ruggedly handsome.
I'm also in agreement with many of you unconvinced by the Jag. But on looks I reluctantly give it my vote knowing it would have lost against many of the other contenders.
I always felt that the Healey looks best on a rally stage covered in ****, having the nads thrashed off it. Overly restored road cars with chrome wires, chrome grilles, polished screen surrounds, chrome spotlamps etc etc look bloody awful.
Wrong decision reached.
Sad day for all motoring enthusiasts.
