airbag (crash sensor)

I am looking for a crash sensor for my 1999 156 selespeed, it is part # 60658009 allied MY97 (2f-2p-i-s)
resetting with Examiner or Alfadiag does not work, ECU is probably knackered due to peak voltage or some such.
Is there a member of this forum who experienced the same problem and got it sorted without renewing the ECU ?
