Toyota faces exploitation claims

This news story Toyota Exploitation of Workers Claim shocked and alarmed me as Toyota consistently ranks highly in working relationship indices.

The story claims the car giants' supply chain is "riddled" with overworked and underpaid employees.

One of their subcontractors allegedly died after working 155 hours of overtime in a month. A court ruled that Toyota must pay a pension to his family.


This is such a serious matter I respectfully suggest people refrain from inappropriate jokes about the cars. Thank you.

all of those people who bought a Prius to save the planet, might need to think about the circumstances under which it was made...

Talk about double standards! "oooh, we're Toyota, we care so much about the environment"....yeah, at the expense of people!
