without wishing to sound like bill shankly who said famously something like "football is a matter of life and death" this swap is criminal

unless of course it is for practical reasons like kids etc. but then why not a 156 / 156 sw or a 166. thats what i did.

Like lots of people on here - we have an AR and a Bim, both have their respective merits and faults.

You'll get plenty of grief on here for mentioning it but deep down most people appreciate something about BMW. The 318iSE is a decent motor, pity it doesn't have the 320 soundtrack though. Make sure you keep up the BMW servicing, our '03 320 is at 110k and I still pay the premium at Dick Lovett - it'll pay when we come to sell it.

You'll end up missing your GTV though!

Hope you enjoy your new car.

PS. you'll love the little orangle lights by the rearview mirror that illuminate the gearstick!
