Re: Affordable Ferraris

ive always had a soft spot for the 308 GT4, dont know why but i do like them a lot. i like the 400 and 412 as well, i would be tempted by a 348 but the running costs put me off. is it just me is the 355 looking really dated now, i used to love them but since the 430 they are looking very very old.

my dad and myself once nearly bought a 246 dino together for silly money, god i wish we had, they have gone through the roof now

Re: Affordable Ferraris

Blame the rear- mounted engine
I know the handling is tricky, but errors like this make me want to ignore the rest of the article.

Re: Affordable Ferraris

It's easy to be snobby about the 308 - it's a bit of a failed porn star
And as for this...

I know a couple of freelance journalists and sometimes read some of the stuff they've written when straying from their field of expertise. It's not good, and neither is this.

Yep, just like running a 'cheap' Bentley. Budget to spend about 10x the norm to maintain the thing !

Re: Affordable Ferraris

If you get a Ferrari, I have two pieces of advise:

Buy the best Ferrari you can find. It is better to get a good one from a "lower" model series than a almost good one from a higher series.

And, count on about 1 Euro per Mile for maintenance cost.

The two seat models have almost no depreciation, so, it's really all about the maintenance cost.
