Malcolm Sayer
The genius who first applied the principles of aerodynamics to car design is being celebrated in Great Yarmouth on Saturday 26 May. He was responsible for the classic Jag C, D and E Types and ought to be as famous as Issigonis IMHO.
He was an old boy of the high school on Salisbury road and that is the venue for an exhibition of classic jaguars, including one that won at Le Man three years running.
There is to be a cruise of jags followed by a the unveiling of a plaque at the school. I'm told that about 60 Jaguars of various types will be on display but I can't confirm it.
Car enthusiasts in the area might like to call in and pay homage to a great designer, and see some great cars too.
